A WORD FOR TODAY 29 JULY 2019

A WORD FOR TODAY

Today we celebrate the memorial of saint Martha, sister to Mary and Lazarus and a worthy disciple of Jesus. She is known to have expressed her faith in Christ when Jesus visited their home at the time Lazarus died. He faith in Christ was visibly seen when she said to Jesus, "Yes, Lord; I believe" and his brother who was already dead was brought back to life by our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is nothing we can do in this life to please the Lord without faith. Faith is the necessary criteria we need to possess for the things we seek from the Lord to be granted. If we pray without faith and total trust in the Lord, it will be difficult for us to receive any answer.*_ _Faith simply means, total dependence on God's power and will to take care of us at all times. In her time of great loss and bereavement Martha did not give up on hope, but believed that whatever Jesus asked of the Father will be granted Him.

It does not matter what happens to us and how long we have been in that situation, if our faith and trust in God is intact and unshakable we will definitely overcome and share our testimony someday which will move others to come to believe in the One true God.

Where is your faith and how strong and formidable is it? We cannot please God if we do not have faith and it will be difficult for us to receive blessings of healing, salvation, deliverance, open doors, favour and so on. We must work hard everyday to grow our Faith as Christ has given it to us and when it is strong things will be falling into place for us at all times.

Rise up today with a renewed commitment to continue to believe in God and to call upon His name even if you have not received what you are praying for. God knows the best and He will visit you at His own time and when it will be the best for you. Keep your faith alive and your miracle is assured.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a blessed new week. May your faith in Christ continue to grow everyday and may He answer you when you call upon Him. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
