A WORD FOR TODAY

LOVE GOD MORE AND DO HIS WILL ALWAYS

_"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world."(1 John 2:15-16)_

_*It is always important to set our priorities right in this life and in that way we will not waste the precious time we have here on earth focusing and doing things that does not matter which may not add any value to our lives.*_

_St. John in the first reading of today warns us not to love the world and anything in it because it is passing away. This simply means that we are created by God and we live in the world, but we are not of the world. We must live our lives in a manner that will be pleasing to the Lord and do not let the world, the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of possessions vitiate our ability to focus on the heavenly things that will last forever._

_*Anyone who loves the world more than God will be lost forever, because the world and all it offers will make you to get distracted from striving to get to heaven which should be our primary aim always.*_

_The only way to conquer and overcome the pull and distraction we get from the attractions of this world in the course of our pilgrim journey to heaven is to let the love of God take root in us strongly and in that way, we shall love nothing more than to do God's will at all times._

_*Anyone who loves the world more than God who created it will stumble and fall, but he who does the will of the Father will abide forever. To love the world is to let the things we see in this life become so attractive to us that we will no longer have time to worship God and praise His name.*_

_Anna in the gospel reading of today loved the Lord more than the world and the Lord rewarded her steadfastness with the opportunity to see Our Lord Jesus Christ when He was presented in the temple. Learn to love the Lord more than the created things and He will always take care of you and give you peace and eternal life. If you truly love God more, you will be willing and ready to do His will always._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May Jesus take care of you and may He help you to love God more than the world. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* 1 John 2:12-17/Psalm 95:7-10/Luke 2:36-40

*Watch-Word:* The love of the Father cannot be in anyman who loves the world

*Love God more than any created thing and you will live happily here on earth and in heaven.*
