A WORD FOR TODAY
Whenever we truly encounter the Lord we will definitely not be the same anymore. Something will change in us and we will radiate and glow. The divine touch makes us shine out as the light and those who encounter us will notice it and they will give glory to God.
Moses was with the Lord on the mountain and he was transformed to the extent that he did not notice that his face was radiant, but those who saw him knew. When we spend quality time in the presence of the Lord, something wonderful happens and we will not be the same again. God's glory will radiate upon us and those who see us will experience it.
We must always accord priority to being in God's presence above every other activity of this life. A moment we share with the Lord is much more enriching and fulfilling than anything we may ever imagine. In his presence we will find the treasure and fine pearls we need and if we are unable to sell everything we own by creating quality time to be with Him in silent prayerful adoration we will not be able to acquire it.
The kingdom of heaven is a treasure that must cost us something to acquire, this means that we must sell something in order to possess it. We must give up something, we must let go of other things that will become an obstruction for us in order to stay focused and work hard to get it.
The journey of seeking the face of God and His kingdom is something that will cost us our time, treasure, talent and so on. We must seek God above other things of life, money, pleasure, positions, status, e.t.c and when we seek Him with our whole heart, we will find Him and He will bless and transform us and our life will witness for Him.
The question will be, what are you selling and letting go in order to possess the treasure of high value, which is the kingdom of God. Today we celebrate the memorial of saint Ignatius of Loyola. The founder of the society of Jesus, the Jesuits. After his conversion, he devoted his life and time in proclaiming Christ crucified. We must learn from him to spend our energy and time in seeking the face of Jesus and to proclaim Him so as to live with Him in heaven at the end of time.
Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a splendid day. May your encounter with Jesus make your life to glow and radiate God's glory. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Meditation: Exodus 34:29-35/Psalm 99:5-7,9/Matthew 13:44-46
Watch-Word: You are holy O Lord our God.
When God comes first in your life, everyother thing will fall into place for you. Divine encounter is needed for life transformation.
