*A WORD FOR TODAY*
*CHOOSE THE LIVING GOD OVER IDOLS*
_"And he received the gold at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, and made a molten calf; and they said, These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt"(Exodus 32:4)_
_*We must learn to choose the living God over all other gods and idols that present themselves as gods. This is the problem the people of Israel had in the first reading of today.*_
_They lost their patience while waiting for Moses to come down from the mountain with the ten commandments. They pressured Aaron to mold a calf for them. They sinned gravely against God who has done nothing but show them love._
_*This is not different from the kind of behaviour we show as God's children most times. We tend to forget what God has done for us and we chase after other gods. We abandon the living God and start worshiping idols that cannot see, hear or be able to save us.*_
_We must resist any temptation that will make us to reject God and grow impatient in following Him. God is God and can do all things, but we must wait upon Him with faith. Anything that represents idol in our lives must go. We must reject it. Declare our loyalty to the living God and live our life in His honour. Anything apart from this will bring us total disaster and agony on the last day._
_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a blessed day and a wonderful new week. May Jesus help you to love Him above every other thing in this life. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_
*Meditation:* Exodus 32:15-24,30-34/Psalm 106:19-23/Matthew 13:31-35
*Watch-Word:* O give thanks to the Lord for he is good
_*Choose the living God, serve Him with all your heart and you will be blessed*_
