*A WORD FOR TODAY*

GOD WILL RESTORE YOU

_"I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit."(Amos 9:14)_

As we conclude the reading from the prophet Amos, we see how the Lord speaks word of encouragement to the people of Israel who have suffered so much in the hands of other nations and kings. It has been a tough moment for them, but today the Lord promises to restore them and to make them great again.

_Restoration simply means to bring back something or someone back to his or her original position, especially when that thing or person has been wounded, defaced or abandoned for a long time. The essence of restoration is to give life and additional beauty to something that is already regarded as dead._

_*Sometimes in life we pass through difficult and tough situations that take away our joy, peace, beauty and honour. In those moments it will seem as if our world is collapsing before us. However, if we remain steadfast, hold unto God and call upon His name, he will come to our aid and restore us.*_

_The promise of God to the people of Israel is that He will restore their fortunes and their cities will be rebuilt and they shall inhabit them. They shall plant vineyard and drink their wines, they shall make gardens and eat their fruit. He will plant them upon their land and they will not be removed out of the land which He has given them._

_*The above promise is for us too, if we believe. No matter what your past has been or what your present condition looks like, do not give up, but look up to God and call upon Him with faith and He will restore you. Our Restoration of peace, health, business, family, work, world and land can only come from God, therefore we must always look up to Him and depend on Him. In this time of pandemic we continue to look up to Him for total restoration of our land and our world.*_

_There is time for everything in this life and just as Jesus told the disciples of John in the gospel that the wedding guests cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, so we must believe with faith that so long as the Lord lives, we shall be restored, because He is concerned about our good and He helps us in our times of need. Come to the Lord today with faith and He will restore you again and you will be happy to serve Him._

_*Today as I mark the 11th anniversary of my ordination as a Catholic priest, I pray God to restore you and give you peace. Amen. Please, kindly remember me and my classmates in your prayers.🙏🏾*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊 as you do your work and do have a splendid day. May God restore you in all ramifications of your life and may you be happy again. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Amos 9:11-15/Psalm 85:9-14/Matthew 9:14-17

*Watch-Word:* The Lord speaks of peace for his people

_*God can change your situation and He will restore you, but you must believe with faith that He can do it and it will come to pass.*_
