_"and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself."(Mark 12:30-31)_

_*Love is something that we cannot do without. Every one wants love and everyone has the capacity to give love, but if the disposition is not there, it will be difficult for one to give love and if he or succeeds in giving love at all, it will be more of selfish and false love that will have no connection to the kind of love that Jesus is telling us about in the gospel reading.*_

_In responding to the question of the Scribe who came to him to find answers about which commandment is the greatest, Jesus told him simply that is the love of God and love of neighbour. Love of God comes first and it must be with all your heart and with your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. This simply means that you will love God with everything in you without reservation. We must love God, because He has first loved us and we must reciprocate this love everyday by the things we do._

_*However, an expression of true love for God must have a practical manifestation in the love we show to our neighbour. Therefore, the second of the greatest of commandment is the love of neighbour. Jesus' response is based on the law in the old dispensation in Deuteronomy 6:4-5 and Levitucus 19:18. You must likewise love your neighbour as you love yourself.*_

_Love is the key to joy and happiness, love is the key to peace of soul. Love is the access code to eternal life in heaven and anyone who fails to love God and neighbour cannot be a friend of God. The beauty of love is that the best way to show that we love God is by loving our neighbour. Anyone who cannot love his or her neighbour cannot claim to love God either._

_*Jesus suffered and died for love of humanity, infact his death on the cross is simply the evidence we need to know that He truly loves us. Therefore, as saint Paul admonishes Timothy in the first reading, we must remain faithful to God in all things especially by loving our neighbour and we shall have the blessings of God come upon us in full measure on the last day.*_

_We must love as Jesus has commanded and we will be happy in this life and in His kingdom on the last day. Let your love be real and practical, let your love heal the wounds in the heart of people. let your love feed the hungry and clothe the naked. Let your love give strength to the weak and bring justice to the oppressed. Let your love be made manifest in a more pra tical and positive ways that will be pleasing to God and you will have joy on the last day._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a beautiful day. May God's love for you, move you to love others as He has loved us. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* 2 Timothy 2:8-15/Psalm 25:4-5,8-10,14/Mark 12:28-34

*Watch-Word:* O Lord, make me know your ways.

_*Love is beautiful when you choose not to love selfishly but selflessly as Christ has loved us.*_
