*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*GOD’S SPIRIT WILL HELP YOU TO DO GOOD THINGS*

_"And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. And he began to say to them, Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”(Luke 4:20-21)_

_*Jesus in the gospel reading of today declared what his mission was. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Him and He has been anointed to preach the good news to the poor, release the captives, restore sight to the blind, to set at liberty the oppressed and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.*_

_His mission was for good and not for evil. His mission was for the good of humanity. He was to set us free and reconcile us with the Father._

_*When the Spirit of the Lord is upon you, you will do great and inspiring things for Him. We must be disposed to let the Holy Spirit possess us so that we can do more good and bring glory to the name of the Lord.*_

_Jesus came to set the captives free and to proclaim God's kingdom. We are also mandated by Him to go out and proclaim God's kingdom. We must set the captives free and lead those in darkness to come into God's light._

_*Our eyes must gaze and be fixed on Christ as the people in the synagogue did. He is the fulfillment of the Scriptures and In Him the fullness of God dwells. We must look up to Him for our healing and restoration, deliverance and salvation. He is our sure hope and light and with Him victory is assured.*_

_Fix your gaze on Jesus with faith, let His Spirit guide you and you will not be the same again. The Holy Spirit will help you to live a good life and you do good in God's name and win more souls for Him._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a beautiful day. May the Lord's Spirit guide you to do greater good in His name. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_
