*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*RISE AND HAVE NO FEAR*

_He was still speaking, when lo, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him (Matthew 17:5)_

*JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD*

_*Today we celebrate the feast of the transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ. One reason this feast is significant is because it brings to fore the revelation of who Jesus is. Jesus is the Son of God and affirms our faith that through him, the Kingdom of God will be established for ever.*_

*JESUS TRANSFIGURED IN THEIR EYES*

_In this feast we celebrate the recorded witness of Peter, James and John. It was before their eyes that Jesus was transfigured to reveal his Divinity. Jesus is not just man. He is God and the promised saviour which the prophets of old spoke about._

*LISTEN TO JESUS AND YOU WILL BE FINE*

_*Dear friend, we have been baptised into this same Jesus who is Divine; who is King and most high above all and everything. What is left is to listen keenly to what He tells us. This was the command the disciples heard on the mountain at the transfiguration.*_

*LOOK UP TO JESUS*

_In the midst of the different trials in the world, it is necessary to look to the right place where help can come. And the good news is that our Jesus is almighty and can take care of any situation. Again, we do not need to be afraid but listen keenly and obey_

*JESUS IS WITH US*

_*Jesus may have ascended to heaven but we know He is still very much with us because he is God and God is everywhere. We know that the Holy Spirit which He sent us is also in us and working through us. Let us like the disciples fall before His Majesty and worship him.*_

*RISE IN COURAGE*

_Let us also rise in courage because Jesus with us is for our good and not our condemnation. Jesus by the transfiguration wants to strengthen our faith and confidence. To let him achieve this we have to form and keep the habit of listening to Him when he speaks to us through the Gospel and through his ministers._

*TAKE YOUR SEAT IN GOD'S PRESENCE*

_*Today is another blessed Sunday and opportunity to praise God. Please don’t stay at home but make sure you go and take your seat as a beloved daughter or son of the most high. Go to Church and listen to Jesus today and you will be transformed.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you begin your day and do have a wonderful Sunday. May your faith in Jesus be strengthened. Rise and do not fear because Jesus is Almighty. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Watch-Word:* The Lord is king, the most high above all the earth. The Lord is Almighty and he is with you, have no fear.

_*We must listen to Jesus, we must do what He commands and we shall live with Him in heaven on the last day.*_
