*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*GOD'S MERCY WILL MAKE YOU RISE AND WALK*

_"But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins, he said to the man who was paralyzed, I say to you, rise, take up your bed and go home.”(Luke 5:24)_

_*We are sinners and it is only by God's mercy and love that we are saved. If we do not come to Jesus, we will not be able to get well and our sin will destroy us.*_

_The season of advent is a time to draw closer to the Lord as never before so as to find mercy, forgiveness, healing and restoration. It is a time of spiritual renewal and rejuvenation. We must come to Jesus and we must also help others to find Him and he healed._

_*We see in the gospel reading of today how the paralysed man was helped by friends who brought him to Jesus for healing. They never allowed the crowd to become and obstacle. They pushed through and their faith caught the attention of Jesus. He forgave the sin of the man and healed him.*_

_Sin wounds and paralyses us from time to time, but it is only by coming to Jesus that we shall be healed. No matter how weak and dirty we have become, Jesus can heal, sanctify and make us strong again. Just come to Him and you will find mercy and divine restoration._

_*The paralysed man was helpless until his friends took him to Jesus who made him rise and walk again. We can also be channels through which those around us will meet Jesus our healer. Do not be like the Pharisees who were not happy with what they saw, take the person to Jesus and they will be transformed.*_

_Just like Isaiah tells us in the first reading of what thd Lord will be doing for us, Jesus is ready to heal you and make you rise and walk. He forgives the sins (Spiritual healing) and make you walk again(Physical healing) He can do all things and if you have faith, you will receive what you seek from Him. Therefore, waste no time, come to Him and be healed in body and soul._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a blessed day. May God's help you to rise and walk to greater height. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.*_

*Meditation:* Isaiah 35:1-10/Psalm 85:9-14/Luke 5:17-26

*Watch-Word:* Our God will come and save us.

_*God is ready to save you. Come to him today and you will find the help you need.*_
