A WORD FOR TODAY
Opportunities to witness for Christ come from time to time, but if we do not take them when they come, they will become wasted and we may not have them again. Today we see how St. Paul even at his moment of trial courageously spoke about his faith in Christ before the tribunal.
We cannot bear witness for Christ if we become afraid and unwilling to lay down our life for Him. Witnessing requires courage and the encouragement to carry our this task comes from the Lord. If we must do it well, we must depend on God who will always be with us as we proclaim His name.
Opportunity to proclaim Christ could come anytime, at work, home, business place, market area, when we are travelling, in the school, in the Church and so on. Wherever it comes, we must be ready at all times to show the world that we belong to Christ so that through us they may come to receive salvation.
Jesus' prayer for us in the gospel reading continues. He asked the Father that we may be one as He is one with the Father. Unity is very vital in the work of witnessing for Christ. We must work hard and promote what unites us and brings peace among our fellow brothers and sisters.
We have come various background, but in Christ we must become one so as to propagate God's kingdom (Unity in diversity). We must love one another with the love of God and we must carry out our task always bearing in mind that we shall be rewarded with eternal life in the end if we persevere and remain steadfast.
Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May Jesus give you the courage to witness for Him everywhere without fear. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
