A WORD FOR TODAY

GIVE A GOOD EXAMPLE ALWAYS

_"Brethren, join in imitating me, and mark those who so live as you have an example in us. For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, live as enemies of the cross of Christ."(Philippians 3:17-18)_

_*Life is something that comes in phases and at every point in time we need to have mentors and teachers who inspire us to be able to do well and make them proud.*_

_God who created us, made us to live for Him here on earth, but most times we abandon the way He has set out for us to follow other ways. This, sometimes does not end well, because we are led astray into evil and we fall and dishonour God._

_*St. Paul in the first reading of today admonishes the people to follow in the good example he had laid down for them and avoid following those who walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Those persons are selfish in character and attitude and are only concerned about earthly things.*_

_The persons we need to emulate in life are those who add value to us and not those who take value away from us and make us to focus only on worldly things. We must use opportunities we get in life to prepare ourselves for eternal life._

_*It is good to work hard in this life in our various endeavours, but we must strive to make salvation of our souls and that of others a priority in everything we do.*_

_The dishonest steward was commended by the master in the gospel reading for his prudence in managing what was placed at his charge. Jesus was not recommending dishonesty, but reminding us to pay more attention to the things that concerns our soul always, because in the end we must return back to Him to give account of our life._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May Jesus give you the grace to show good examples to those who look up to you. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Philippians 3:17-4:1/Psalm 122:1-5/Luke 16:1-8

*Watch-Word:* Whoever keeps Christ's word, in him truly love of God is perfected.

*Do good with your time and show good examples to those who look up to you.*
