A WORD FOR TODAY

When you make the decision to follow Jesus as a disciple, you will also make the decision not to look back. It is a followership that involves carrying a cross and making sacrifices daily. If you are not ready to do this, then you will not be able to represent Him._

Just as Moses reminded the people to make a choice between life and death, curse and blessings that had been set before them, we also as disciples of Jesus need to make a choice of whether to obey God's instruction and live or to reject it and perish.

When you truly and honestly make the decision to follow Jesus and obey Him, you must be ready to suffer pain, rejection, sickness, betrayal, hunger, persecution and even death, but in the end you will find life and you will be saved.

The issue is not to carry a cross, but how you carry the cross. If you carry your cross with grudges, it will never fetch you any reward. If you decide not to carry any cross at all, you are making the decision not to represent Jesus because the cross is His mark of identity.

True discipleship involves self denial and readiness to lay down one's life for others as Jesus did for us. It involves self emptying, which simply means that you must spend your life for the sake of Christ. If you try to hoard your life or gifts for humanity, you will simply lose it in the end and there will be no reward for you.

Make the right choice, follow God's instruction, place your trust in Him and He will lead you in the right path. Your cross may be different from another person's own, just carry your own and keep following Jesus and He will reward you with eternal life in the end.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May Jesus help you carry your cross well so that you will find eternal life in the end. Amen. *And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

*Meditation:* Deuterenomy 30:15-20/Psalm 9:22-25/Luke 9:22-25

*Watch-Word:* Blessed the man who has placed His trust in the Lord!

Obeying God's commandment comes with a blessing and anyone who wants to be blessed must be ready to do what God wants.
