A WORD FOR TODAY

YOU CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS AT THE SAME TIME

_"No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”(Luke 16:13)_

_*The gospel reading of today is a continuation from that of yesterday. Jesus admonishes His disciples of the need to be faithful in serving the Lord. However, it is a choice we must make always whether to serve God or to serve Mammon.*_

_No one will be able to serve two masters at the same time, you will either hate one and love the other. This is an indisputable fact and truth that Jesus had to tell His disciples so that they will be able to make the right choice when it comes to God and mammon._

_*We have many things seeking our attention in this life, but we must strive to be wise to choose God above all of them and in that way we shall be ready to receive eternal reward in heaven on the last day.*_

_If we choose to serve God, then we must be faithful to Him and also be content in what we have. We must serve Him well in little things and it will give us an opportunity to be given the responsibility to take care of true riches._

_*In the first reading we see St. Paul tell the Philippians that He has learnt how to be content in abundance and in lack, for he can do all things in Him who strengthens him. This can only happen when you put your trust in God who can supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.*_

_We must choose God over wealth, positions, fame and power and we must serve Him alone. We must love Him with all our heart, give him our best and be ready to die for Him. He is the best and no one who chooses Him and serve Him will ever regret it._

_*Do not give God half measure, give Him the best of your time and attention. Spend your life for Him here on earth and you will be ready for eternal reward on the last day. The choice is yours to make and you should make the right one so that you will be happy.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful weekend. May Jesus give you the grace to choose God over material things. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Philippians 4:10-19/Psalm 112:1-2,5-9/Luke 16:9-15

*Watch-Word:* Blessed the man eho fears the Lord.

_*Choose God above everything material and He will bless you with all you will need to be happy in this life and in heaven.*_
