*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*LEAD PEOPLE IN THE RIGHT PATH*

_"Take heed to yourselves; if your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him; and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, and says, I repent, you must forgive him.”(Luke 17:3-4)_

_*Anyone who follows the Lord must love righteousness and seek the Lord with sincerity of heart as the first reading tells us. We must constantly stay connected to God and in that way we shall have the power and be disciplined to flee from deceit, rise from foolish thoughts and be ashamed of unrighteousness.*_

_We have a responsibility as God's children and ministers to lead people in the right path. Yes, temptations are bound to come, but we must not yield to it. We must grow everyday in holiness and that will give us solid support and spiritual strength to overcome our weakness and help others to follow the way that leads to life._

_*Jesus warns his disciples in the gospel reading not to cause scandal to little ones. We must be very careful not to scandalize others and become obstacles to them in the journey of their faith. We must teach them the right thing and also practice what is right so that they can learn from our example and become good Christians.*_

_To be a good guide to others in the journey of faith and to be able to lead others in the right path, you must constantly examine your life to make sure that you have not drifted into evil. This will help you to stay awake and on guard so that the devil will not use you as an instrument of destruction of souls, but you will be a beacon of hope to those who are following the path of life._

_*Watch out for your brothers and sisters and help the weak to become strong. Rebuke with love those who have gone astray and if they repent and come back, you must forgive them. You must put measures in place that will help you not to fall and not to lead others astray. Be a good and disciplined leader and you will train children who will have the fear of God and who will love holiness and virtue above evil and vices.*_
