A WORD FOR TODAY 9 SEPTEMBER 2022

*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*LEARN FROM JESUS AND YOU WILL BE A GOOD TEACHER TO OTHERS*

_"A disciple is not above his teacher, but every one when he is fully taught will be like his teacher. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?"(Luke 6:40-41)_

_*People go to school to learn so as to be useful to themselves and also to make an impact in the society. When one submits himself properly to the act of learning, he or she will be filled with knowledge that will be aplllied at different times for the good of humanity.*_

_However, for one to be a good teacher, you must have been taught by a good teacher. If you go to learn from someone higher than you in experience, you must stay loyal and humble and learn all you need so that when you come out you will be like the person who has taught you and when people see you, they will see the trade mark of the person on you._

_*In the gospel reading of today, Jesus tells his disciples that a blind man cannot lead a blind man, if not both of them will fall into a ditch. This simply means that in leading people, you must have submitted yourself to be taught and when it is done well, you will have the capacity to lead people in the right direction.*_

_We must be truthful to ourselves and help ourselves before we can help others. In assessing yourself, you will be able to find out where you are not doing well, then you work on it and become better and you will now have the moral authority to be able to help others who may be in a similar situation to come out of their own evil ways. It will be difficult to work on others and help them when you have not removed the log in your eyes._

_*As disciples of Jesus we must discipline ourselves and make sure that we are in the right frame of mind to proclaim the gospel. We must never let anything stop us from pushing forward to cross the finish line and win the prize as St Paul tells us in the first reading. The crown in the end is imperishable, therefore, push yourself positively and keep taking out from your life anything that will disqualify you in the end.*_

_If you work on yourself, you will begin to do well and when you are good, you will become a good teacher, helper and guide to others in the way of goodness, mercy and righteousness. Step up in your spirituality, sit at the feet of the master Jesus and learn from Him and you will definitely be like Him in teaching others what is right and leading them back to God_

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a lovely weekend. May Jesus give you the grace to work on yourself so as to be good to help others. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* 1 Corinthians 9:16-19'22-27/Psalm 84:3-6,12/Luke 6:39-42

*Watch-Word:* Your word, I Lord is truth, santify us in the truth

*If you make sincere efforts, you will become a better person and you will be able to help others to become friends of Jesus.*
