_"The Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. And he was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him."(Mark 1:12-15)_

_*If there is one thing that we must pass through in this life as human beings, it is to be tempted or tested. Where, when, how and in which mode it comes may differ from person to person, but it must surely come.*_

_After His baptism at the river Jordan, our Lord Jesus Christ was led into the desert where He fasted 40 days and forty nights and was tempted by the devil, but He did not fall, instead He overcame His temptation._

_*He has shown us an example of how we are to overcome our own temptations. He never yielded to the devils push for Him to fall, He resisted it and He came out victorious. We must be ready to resist the devil and his tactics if we are to be victors over our own temptations.*_

_Sin brought us down and the world was destroyed, but God sent His Son our Lord Jesus to come and save us and He established a new covenant with us. Jesus gave His life for us, poured out His blood for our sanctification, therefore, we must aim always to live a holy life to show Him that we love Him._

_*In baptism we were washed clean from sin, we must try as much as we can to remain clean for the Lord as we journey in our faith. Jesus fought the temptation to sin and He won, therefore, if we obey His commands and do what He wants we shall not fall, but remain firm.*_

_Overcoming sin is a daily battle we must fight but we must know that God does not abandon us to do it alone. If we anchor ourselves in Him, He will help us to win our battle as He won His own battle. The grip of any sin in us can be overcome if we choose to follow the path that leads to life and let Jesus' power work in us. If we aim to remain sinless, then the word of God should be our guide and His word will be a lamp unto our feet. (Psalm 119:9,105)_

_*The season of lent is a time to enter the desert and fight our battle against sin and all the temptations that we experience in this life. We must build up our inner strength through prayer, fasting and almsgiving and with it we will overcome whatever evil may come our way and we shall rise with Jesus on the resurrection day.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you begin your day and do have a beautiful Sunday. May Jesus give you the grace to overcome your temptation. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Genesis 9:8-15/Psalm 25:4-9/1 Peter 3:18-22/Mark 1:12-15

*Watch-Word:* Man Shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

*It is our duty to be watchful so that we do not fall into temptation, but the grace to overcome our temptation comes from the Lord. Stay close to Him and you will win*
