A WORD FOR TODAY JANUARY 23 ,2003

*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*JESUS SPEAKS FOR US BEFORE THE FATHER*

_"For Christ has entered, not into a sanctuary made with hands, a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf." (Hebrews 9:24)_

_*Our Lord Jesus Christ came from the Father to us with the mission of redemption and reconciliation. He poured out His blood on the cross and established a new covenant which knocked out the old one.*_

_He appeared once for all to put away sins and save us. All that He did and achieved with His life was for the good of humanity. It was a sacrifice that opened the doors of heaven for us and we could have access to the Father._

_*Jesus by virtue of this sacrifice of his blood on the cross, now speaks for us before His Father as our advocate. His blood is constantly pleading before God on our behalf and we receive God's blessings and mercy through His advocacy.*_

_The Scribes in the gospel reading could not understand Him and they tagged Him as one who is using the power of demons to operate. They detracted and tried to defame His character and name, but he was not bothered about their antics because He knew who He was and why He has come._

_*He was simply making use of the power of God to cast out demons. He is the greatest and no one can compare with Him. They were jealous of what He was doing and they tried to bring Him down.*_

_We must not let what people say about us discourage us from doing good so long as we are doing what is right. Stay focused and trust in Jesus, shine out as the light and keep moving forward inspite of every atrack from enemies of the light. Allow Jesus to speak for you and you will be a winner over every evil._

_*Let us strive to help each other to stand firm and strong in God's kingdom as His children, because a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. Work for unity and support each other to reach a desired goal for the glory of God.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a lovely day and a blessed new week. May Jesus speak for you and give you strength to overcome. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen*_

*Meditation:* Hebrews 9:15,24-28/Psalm 98:1-6/Mark 3:22-30

*Watch-Word:* A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand

*put your trust in God and let Him speak for you at all times*
